Teacher Arrested After CCTV Catches Him Brutally Assaulting Students

CHARAIDEO – In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage across Assam, a primary school teacher was arrested in the Charaideo district after CCTV footage surfaced showing him physically assaulting minor students inside a classroom.

The accused, identified as Md. Ariful Islam (51), a resident of Mathurapur Tiniali, was a teacher at Mathurapur Bagicha Primary School.

The Disturbing Allegations

The incident came to light after the school’s headmaster reviewed internal CCTV recordings. The footage reportedly revealed a series of harrowing actions by Islam during school hours:

• Physical Assault: The teacher was seen repeatedly beating several minor students.
• Extreme Violence: In one of the most chilling segments of the footage, Islam reportedly attempted to throw a student through a classroom window.
• Exploitation: Sources further alleged that students were forced to provide massages to the teacher during class time.

Public Outcry and Immediate Action

As the video went viral on social media, parents and local residents gathered to demand justice, leading to heightened tensions in the area.

The Assam Tea Tribes Students’ Association (ATTSA) has taken a firm stand, submitting a formal memorandum to the district administration seeking immediate and stringent action against the accused.

“The safety of our children within the walls of an educational institution is non-negotiable. This level of brutality is unacceptable,” stated a local community representative.

The school administration and the School Management Committee (SMC) have moved swiftly to address the misconduct. On May 5, the school headmaster and the SMC president jointly filed a formal complaint before the Deputy Inspector of Schools.

In response, education department officials have directed the Block Education Officer to conduct a thorough inquiry into the allegations. Law enforcement confirmed that the accused teacher was detained shortly after the footage gained traction online, and formal legal proceedings are now in motion.
