NAGAON – Public outrage has erupted in Rajagaon village following a harrowing incident of assault on a minor schoolgirl. The victim, a Class VIII student, was allegedly attacked and left unconscious by a local youth who had been stalking and harassing her for nearly a year.

The accused, identified as Tutu Sharma, son of Amrit Sharma, has been absconding since the incident occurred on December 21.

A Year of Systemic Harassment

According to local reports, the minor had been subjected to continuous distress for the past year. The accused allegedly:

• Stalked the girl daily on her commute to and from school.
• Subjected her to verbal abuse and obscene gestures.
• Blackmailed her by taking photographs without consent and threatening to circulate them on social media.
